TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 STARCRAFT ARUBA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE THE CAMPER WAS LOCKED AND SECURED AT A CAMP SITE, THE CONTACT ATTEMPTED TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE EXTERIOR HOWEVER THE KEY FAILED TO OPEN THE DOOR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HIS DAUGHTER WHO WAS ALREADY IN THE CAMPER WAS ALSO UNABLE TO UNLOCK THE DEADBOLT LOCK FROM INSIDE OF THE CAMPER. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO ENTER THE CAMPER FROM AN ALTERNATE DOOR. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ALTERNATE ALSO HAD EXHIBITED THE SAME FAILURE. THE DOOR LOCK WAS NOT REPLACED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 13E039000 (LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES). THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE LOCK IN QUESTION WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT ONE OF THE DOOR LOCKS WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 STARCRAFT ARUBA RV. HE NOTICED THAT THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE WAS SHREDDED ON THE INSIDE. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE TIRE AND DROVE A FEW MILES AND NOTICED THAT TIRE HE REPLACED ALSO BECAME DEFECTIVE. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE FAILURE, NO REPAIRS WHERE MADE. THE CONTACT NOTIFIED THE MANUFACTURER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THEY WHERE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FAILURE SINCE THE AXLE WAS NOT MANUFACTURED BY THEM. THE AXLE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT SINCE THE REPAIRS WERE MADE TO THE VEHICLE NO COMPENSATION WOULD BE OFFERED. A LOCAL MECHANIC ALSO DETERMINED THE TOW IN/TOW OUT WAS NOT ADJUSTED CORRECTLY FROM THE FACTORY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AT A COST OF 110.00. THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 4000. UPDATED 11/13/09.*LJ UPDATED 11/18/09
