2005 Starcraft Homestead Settler Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

2005 STARCRAFT 28.5 RSQB HOMESTEAD SETTLER. ALL FOUR TIRES HAVE EXCESSIVE WEAR ON THE INSIDES OF THE TIRES. THERE IS LESS THAN 5000 MILES ON THE TRAILER AND I HAVE GONE THROUGH TWO SETS OF TIRES. I HAVE CONTACTED SEVERAL RV REPAIR CENTERS THAT SAY THE AXLES NEED TO BE REPLACED. I CONTACTED STARCRAFT AND THEY STATED I HAVE AN OVERLOADED TRAILER, WHICH IS NOT TRUE! THE PROBLEM WAS NOT NOTICED UNTIL VEHICLE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. STARCRAFT REFUSES TO ACKNOWLEDGE THERE IS A PROBLEM, EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS LIKE THIS STATED ON THE WEB FOR SEVERAL MAKES AND MODELS OF RV'S. *TR
