The defect: Storyteller Overland, LLC (Storyteller Overland) is recalling certain 2023-2024 GXV HILT vehicles. The metal frames within the housing portion of the vehicle may be improperly grounded.
The risk: An improperly grounded metal frame can cause electric shock, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Dealers will install additional bonding wires to ensure adequate grounding, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 12, 2025. Owners may contact Storyteller Overland customer service at 1-888-999-7442.

Manufacturer communication
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
