The defect: Storyteller Overland, LLC (Storyteller) is recalling certain 2024-2026 GXV Hilt vehicles. The secondary alternator pulley may fail, resulting in a loss of power brakes and power steering.
The risk: An unexpected loss of power brakes increases the distance required to stop. A loss of power steering increases the amount of effort needed to control the vehicle. Both situations may increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Storyteller will replace the secondary alternator, free of charge. Interim owner letters were mailed August 13, 2026. A second letter will be mailed when the free remedy is available. Owners may contact Storyteller customer service at 1-888-999-7442.

The defect: Storyteller Overland, LLC (Storyteller) is recalling certain 2024-2026 GXV Hilt recreational vehicles. The entry door position switch may not make adequate contact to read that the door is closed, which allows the steps to deploy unexpectedly.
The risk: Steps extending while in transit increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will install a ground signal to the door switch circuit, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 29, 2026. Owners may contact Storyteller customer service at 1-888-999-7442.

The defect: Storyteller Overland, LLC (Storyteller) is recalling certain 2024-2026 GXV Hilt recreational vehicles. The auxiliary power system wires may have been improperly. The wires may be damaged by contact with the intake manifold.
The risk: Damaged wire may overheat and short, increasing the risk of a fire.
The remedy: Dealers will inspect, replace, and secure the wires as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 8, 2025. Owners may contact Storyteller customer service at 1-888-999-7442.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

This is a TSB related to a couple of Electrical Maintenance items. These instructions detail the process for removing a fuse and installing an inline blade fuse within the small electrical cabinet located in the loft/bed area. Implementing the outlined procedures will mitigate the battery drain issue originating from the Storyteller cabin. This Document Provides step-by-step instructions for swapping specific wires and changing the breakers that protect the air compressor and winch. These changes will resolve the issue of the air compressor tripping the breaker, ensuring proper operation. Follow the procedures carefully to complete the adjustments safely and effectively. Please contact Storyteller should you have any questions or need any assistance with these instructions.
