The defect: Storyteller Overland, LLC (Storyteller Overland) is recalling certain 2024 GXV Next vehicles. The Cargo Carrying Capacity listed on the certification label is incorrect, which can allow the vehicle to be overloaded. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other than Passenger Cars."
The risk: An overloaded vehicle can increase the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Storyteller Overland will mail corrected labels to owners, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed August 29, 2024. Owners may contact Storyteller Overland customer service at 1-888-999-7442.

Safety recall

Manufacturer communication
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
