TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1998 SUPER DELUXE HAULER ROAD RUNNER. WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT SUDDENLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP WHERE THE TIRE WAS INSPECTED AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TREAD HAD SEPARATED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND SENT THE DEFECTIVE TIRE; THE MANUFACTURER DENIED REPAIR AS THE VEHICLE WAS OUTSIDE THE WARRANTY PERIOD. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE AT THE TIME OF THE COMPLAINT. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 9,000.

THE TRAILER'S BED FOLDS OUT AND COVERS THE DOOR HANDLE WHEN TRYING TO GET OUT. OWNER IS AWARE THAT THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS IN CASE OF A FIRE. MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BY OWNER. *NM THE INCIDENT OCCURRED WHILE THE CONSUMER WAS INSIDE THE CAMPER WITH THE LOWER BED EXTENDED IN WHICH IT COVERED THE LATCH THAT OPENS THE DOOR. REAR AXLE COME OFF FROM SIDE BENEATH VEHICLE WHILE GOING 20MPH. TRAILER WAS TRANSPORTING 7 CARS AT THE TIME. THERE WAS NO WARNING. MANUFACTURER SENT A REPRESENTATIVE TO INSPECT, AND NO PROBLEM WAS FOUND.*AK
