2007 Sunnybrook 298BH Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 SUNNYBROOK 298BH TRAILER. THE CONTACT DETECTED THAT THE MAIN FRAME AND EXTERIOR BODY STRUCTURE OF THE TRAILER EXHIBITED SEVERE CRACKING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND THEY INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS A FREE REMEDY WHICH REQUIRED THE VEHICLE TO BE TAKEN TO THE MANUFACTURER'S LOCATION FOR REPAIR, WHICH WAS IN A DIFFERENT STATE. THE CONTACT STATED THE TRAVEL EXPENSE WOULD BE EXTREMELY COSTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, THE SPARE TIRE MOUNT BRACKET COMPLETELY BROKE IN HALF WHICH WAS REPLACED BY THE DEALER. I PURCHASED A 2007 SUNNY BROOK 33CKTS IN JUNE OF 2007. THIS CAM WITH KENDA LOADSTAR TIRES ST235/80R16 E. WITH LESS THAT 5000 MILES ON THESE TIRES, ONE HAD A BULGE ON THE TREAD AND DEVELOPED A LEAK WHERE THE TREAD MEETS THE SIDEWALL. I CALLED KENDA AND THEY SENT THE WRONG REPLACEMENT TIRE, SO I PURCHASED A REPLACEMENT LOCALLY. ON OUR NEXT TRIP WE HAD A BLOW OUT ON A SECOND LOADSTAR TIRE. WHILE CHANGING THAT ONE I NOTICE A BULGE ON THE TREAD OF A THIRD TIRE BY THIS MANUFACTURER. WE DECIDED TO REPLACE ALL THE TIRES, AND THE TIRE STORE SAID THE THIRD ONE WAS FAILING. THE BLOW OUT ON THE SECOND TIRE WAS AS THE SAME POINT OF FAILURE AS THE FIRST WHERE THE TREAD MEETS THE SIDEWALL. ON SEARCHING FOR OTHER INFORMATION ON THESE TIRES I HAVE FOUND SEVERAL COMPLAINT FORUMS REFERRING TO THESE TIRES ALL FAILING IN A SHORT TIME. I CAN NOT REACH THE MANAGEMENT OF SUNNY BROOK TO LET THEM KNOW THEY ARE USING DEFECTIVE TIRES, AND KENDA USA HAS NOT REIMBURSED ME FOR THE FIRST TIRE EVEN THOUGH I SENT THEM THE DOT ON THE FIRST FAILED TIRE. MY CONVERSATION WITH THEM ON THE 2ND AND 3RD TIRE WAS FOLLOWED BY E-MAIL AS THEIR REQUEST,AND THEY STILL HAVE NOT RESPONDED. MY CLAIM # WITH THEM IS 7555, AND 7621. THESE TIRES WERE LESS THAN TWO YEARS FROM THE DATE OF MANUFACTURER AND WERE ALWAYS KEPT COVERED AND AT PROPER INFLATION. *TR
