What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2005 Suzuki Gsxr600, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I HAVE OWNED A 2005 SUZUKI GSX-R 600 FOR THE PAST 5 YEARS. I GOT A MANUFACTURER SAFETY RECALL NOTICE ON MY FRONT BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER SO I CONTACTED MY LOCAL SUZUKI DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE "FREE" SERVICE DONE ON MY MOTORCYCLE. I DROPPED MY MOTORCYCLE OFF AT THE DEALERSHIP ON 8/2/18. I WAS TOLD THE DEALERSHIP WAS STILL WAITING ON THE PARTS FROM THE MANUFACTURER AND IT WOULD BE A FEW DAYS OR MAYBE EVEN A WEEK BEFORE THE DEALERSHIP COULD WORK ON IT. BECAUSE MY MOTORCYCLE WAS NOT MY PRIMARY TRANSPORTATION AND THE DEALERSHIP WAS WAITING ON THE PARTS FROM THE MANUFACTURER TO PREFORM THE RECALL, I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP TO TAKE THERE TIME AND PLEASE CONTACT ME WHEN THE RECALL WAS FINISHED. ON 8/15/18 I WAS CALLED AND INFORMED THE RECALL WAS PREFORMED AND MY MOTORCYCLE WAS READY TO BE PICKED UP. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP I WOULD BE INTO GET MY MOTORCYCLE WHEN I COULD FIND SOMEONE TO GIVE ME A RIDE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID NO PROBLEM. ON 8/25/18 I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO PICK UP MY MOTORCYCLE AND THE DEALERSHIP INFORMED ME IT WAS STOLEN AND I NEED TO COME BACK ON 8/27/18 TO SPEAK WITH OWNER OF DEALERSHIP. WENT IN ON 8/27/18 TO SPEAK WITH OWNER AND THE OWNER INFORMED ME THAT IF THE POLICE DID NOT RECOVER MY MOTORCYCLE AND IF I DIDN'T HAVE INSURANCE ON MY MOTORCYCLE THEN I WOULD "MOST LIKELY" NOT BE GETTING MY MOTORCYCLE REPLACED. MY BIKE WAS STATIONARY AT THE DEALERSHIP THE ENTIRE TIME FROM 8/2/18 UNTIL WHEN THE MOTORCYCLE WAS STOLEN

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND A CAR PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME AND I COULDN'T STOP. THE BRAKES WOULD NOT HOLD. I T-BONED THE CAR RESULTING IN NEAR FATAL INJURIES.
BIKE AT HIGH RPM'S 14-15K HAS A ALL OF A SUDDEN STOP AND PICK BACK UP AND TAKE OFF ACTION. I HAVE A 2005 GSXR 600. I AM STILL IN THE PROCESS OF FIXING THIS AND ITS LOOKING LIKE IT WILL COST A LOT OF MONEY....I.E. NEW FUEL INJECTORS AND/OR A NEW ECM! *TR
