1987 Suzuki Intruder Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

MY 1987 SUZUKI 1400 INTRUDER HAS RECENTLY SPRUNG A LEAK IN THE REAR AREA OF THE WELD SEAM. NOT ONLY IS IT DAMAGING TO THE FRONT PART OF MY SEAT, BUT, MOST IMPORTANTLY, IT IS LEAKING GAS DOWN ON MY ENGINE, WHICH IS "VERY" HAZARDOUS! *JB I HAVE CONTACTED SUZUKI, BUT WAS INFORMED THAT THEY WILL NOT COVER MY 1987 MOTORCYCLE, ALTHOUGH IT IS A WELD SEAM DEFECT, BUT WILL SELL ME A NEW GAS TANK FOR $447.15. THERE HAVE BEEN NO FATALITIES, FAILURES, INJURIES, FIRES, CRASHES, NOR DAMAGES OR REPORTS TO THE POLICE YET! PLEASE HELP RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM!!! *JB
