What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2004 Suzuki VL800, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

DRIVING DOWN ROAD DOING ABOUT 25 MPH MOTORCYCLE STALLED WOULD NOT START AGAIN. CHECKED IGNITION FUSE AND FOUND IT TO BE BLOWN. REPLACED WITH NEW 15 AMP FUSE. TRIED TO START THE BIKE AGAIN AND THE FUSE BLEW RIGHT AWAY. INSPECTED WIRING HARNESS AND FOUND A BUNCH OF BURNT WIRES. IGNITION SWITCH WAS HOT TO THE TOUCH. I ONLY HAVE 4694 MILES ON THE BIKE. THIS CAN CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT DO TO THE BIKE STALLING OUT IN TRAFFIC.
