2014 Temsa TS30

Recalls, owner-reported complaints, investigations and safety data

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.
0
Safety recallsA safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.

InvestigationsNHTSA opens an investigation to examine whether a safety defect may exist. An open investigation is not a determination that a defect exists, and many investigations close without a recall. Investigations can, however, lead to one.
0
Crash or fire reportedComplaints whose submitter recorded that a crash or a fire occurred. These are the reporter's own answers on the NHTSA form, not verified findings.

The defect: Temsa Global Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (Temsa) is recalling certain model year 2012-2014 TS30 motorcoaches and 2007-2014 TS35C motorcoaches. The emergency roof labels do not have adequate instructions for exiting the bus in the event of an emergency. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
The risk: In the event of an emergency, passengers may spend extra time trying to get the roof exit open, increasing the risk of injury.
The remedy: Temsa will notify owners, and dealers will replace the emergency exit labels on the roof exit, free of charge. The recall began on September 4, 2014. Owners may contact CH Bus Sales, US Agent for Temsa, at 1-877-858-3672.

The defect: Temsa Global Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.S. (Temsa) is recalling certain model year 2012 TS30 motorcoaches manufactured November 2011, to December 2011; 2013 TS30 motorcoaches manufactured September 2012, to April 2013; and 2014 TS30 motorcoaches manufactured July 2013, to April 2014. In the affected vehicles, the driver may have a hard time seeing oncoming traffic from the right side at an intersection where the angle is less than ninety degrees.
The risk: The driver's reduced ability to easily see traffic approching from the right side increases the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Temsa will notify owners, and dealers will install an additional interior mirror to improve the driver's ability to see oncoming traffic, free of charge. The recall began on November 13, 2014. Owners may contact CH Bus Sales, US Agent for Temsa, at 1-877-858-3672.
