What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2022 Thor Motor Coach Ace, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Each component in detail
What the reports in each category say, in the owners' own words
Brakes
Reports naming service brakes, the antilock braking system, brake hoses, master cylinders or the parking brake.
From owner reports, verbatim
The initial brake pedal press is soft and travels nearly to the floorboard. A quick subsequent press of the brake pedal, or "pumping the brakes," changes the pedal travel and sensitivity. This condition has eluded repeated repair attempts by the service center and the chassis manufacturer's team of engineers. The chassis manufacturer has sent its engineers to the service location for hands-on evaluation and repair attempts, to no avail. Parts replaced during the service center's repair attempts include the calipers, pads & rotors, brake lines, brake master cylinder, brake booster, ABS unit, and many quarts of brake fluid. Safety is at risk for the driver as well as others due to inconsistent brake pedal feel and performance on an 18,000lb GVWR vehicle traveling on public roadways. There were no warning lamps or other messages displayed. The service center has indicated their network of shops has had at least 15 similar complaints on similar year & model RVs as of approximately the 2nd of March, 2023.
