2021 Thor Motor Coach Windsport Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Fire reported

The 2021 Thor Windsport would not start. The batteries were tested and had sufficient power to start the motorcoach. The motorcoach was towed to the dealer, Camping World in Berkley Massachusetts. The technician(s) replaced the batteries and attempted to start the motorcoach at which time sparks and there is evidence of fire as burnt wiring and electrical components are viewed in the battery compartment. The technician(s) used rocks and dirt to extinquish the fire. No one was injured. Thor has several other recalls regarding batteries and fire risk yet the 2021 Windsport is not included. Our motorhome at this point is unusable.
