What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2007 Tiffin Allegro Bay, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 TIFFIN ALLEGRO BAY. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 12V327000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC); HOWEVER, WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, THE SPEED DECREASED AFTER THE BRAKE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL TO THE FLOOR AND WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER. THE MOTOR HOME WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE PARKING BRAKE AND THE BRAKE CALIPERS FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MOTOR HOME WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30,000.
HAD STOPPED FOR FUEL AFTER DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 150 MILES. SMELLED BURNING BUT WALK AROUND AND OBSERVATION FOUND NOTHING. DROVE APPROXIMATELY 10 MILES FURTHER AND PUSHED BRAKE PEDAL TO STOP. PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY TO FLOOR. PUMPING THE BRAKES VIGOROUSLY RESTORED SOME BRAKING. WAS ABLE TO FINISH TRIP (APPROXIMATELY 1 BLOCK FURTHER) DRIVING VERY SLOWLY UNTIL UNIT PARKED IN STORAGE LOT. DURING THIS SMALL DISTANCE VEHICLE FELT LIKE BRAKE WAS LOCKED ON - AS IF EMERGENCY BRAKE DID NOT RELEASE. UPON DISEMBARKING PASSENGER OUTSIDE TIRE WAS SMOKING AND VERY HOT. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
