THE FRONT PASSENGER AND DRIVER SIDE DOORS ARE FAILING TO LOCK AND UNLOCK. BOTH DOOR ARE ALSO FAILING TO OPEN FROM THE OUTSIDE WITH THE KEY FOB OR THE DOOR SENSOR. THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE DOOR BEGAN FAILING TO UNLOCK AND OPEN IN JUNE 2018. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE DOOR IS NOW FAILING TO LOCK AND UNLOCK AND SUBSEQUENTLY BEING ABLE TO OPEN THE DOOR. THE CAR IS STATIONARY. THE ENGINE CAN BE ON OR OFF WHEN THE ISSUE OCCURS.

AND THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP IS NOT YOURS....IT WAS ONE IN FAYETTEVILLE, NC WHEN I WAS LIVING THERE WHILE IN THE AIR FORCE. SO I WENT TO THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP...AND THEY ACCUSED ME OF HITTING A POT HOLE...LOL AFTER THAT I GAVE UP....AND JUST TRIED TO NOTIFY ALL MY FRIENDS WHO MIGHT HAVE A 1995 MODEL. TO AT LEAST GET THE DRAG LINK CHECKED FOR CRACKS. RED LINE AUTO SHOP JUST DOWN MANCHESTER RD. OFF POPE DID MY REPAIR WORK. THEY SAID A "DRAG LINK" SHOULD NEVER SNAP OR BREAK...PARTS ATTACHED TO IT MIGHT WEAR OUT, BUT A DRAG LINK IS MADE TO OUTLAST THE VEHICLE. WELL DIDN'T MEAN TO WRITE A BOOK...NICE HEARING FROM YOU. I THOUGHT OF MY DRAG LINK THE SECOND I HEARD ABOUT THAT TOYOTA RECALL TOO. MY TOYOTA IS A 1995. TSB: Replacement certification labels (the vinyl label installed on the driver door or door post) and VIN plates (the metal plate riveted to dashboard) (see Figure 1) for most 1979 ? 2023 model year vehicles may be available provided the requests meet the criteria listed in this Service Bulletin. Follow the Procurement Procedure in this bulletin to request a replacement certification label or VIN plate.
