1994 Toyota Van Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

SLIDING DOOR WILL POP OPEN WHILE DRIVING, NOT CLOSE COMPLETELY AND MOTOR REOPENS IT. THE FIRST HAS HAPPENED 3 TIMES SO WE TURNED OFF THE DOOR. THE SECOND HAPPENS EVERY TIME WE USE THE DOOR WITH THE MOTOR ON. TOYOTA SAYS THIS IS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR. STARTED AFTER ONLY 1.5 YEARS OF USE... ALL OTHER DOORS ARE FINE. WE WERE ALREADY OUT OF MILEAGE WARRANTY. WILL COST OVER $1500 TO REPAIR DOOR. *TR
