PURCHASED BRAND NEW BOAT AND TRAILER FROM NITRO/TRACKER MARINE DEALER 7/31/05. 4 WEEKS LATER COUPLER SEPARATED FROM TOW VEHICLE AND SAFETY CABLES CAME OFF NEW TRAILER DUE TO INSUFFICIENT CLAMP WASHER THAT HOLDS CABLE TO TRAILER. HAVE TRIED NUMEROUS TIMES TO COMMUNICATE THIS CONCERN TO MANUFACTURER INCLUDING SENDING PICTURES OF FAILED COMPONENT AND RESULTING ACCIDENT. THEY REFER ME TO DEALER FOR WARRANTY CLAIM, DEALER IS DENYING WARRANTY COVERAGE. I FEEL ALL THESE TRAILERS HAVE THE SAME DEFECT AND COULD POSSIBLY HURT SOMEONE IN TRAFFIC OR AT HIGHER SPEEDS. I WAS TRAVELING 30 MPH ON BLACKTOP ROAD, THANKFULLY NOT IN TRAFFIC OR ON THE FREEWAY I WAS HEADED TOWARDS WHEN IT HAPPENED. *NM

Manufacturer communications
A bulletin sent by a manufacturer to its dealers. Not a recall, and repairs are not necessarily free.
TIRES
Announcing to dealers the termination date of Service Bulletin #TS-0024
EQUIPMENT
Direct dealers to Phoenix USA, the supplier of plastic trim rings and center caps, for replacement of missing rings or centers at supplier's request.
Manufacturers file copies of the bulletins they send to dealers with NHTSA. These often describe diagnostic or repair procedures for a known condition. They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.
