What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2003 Triumph Bonneville America, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I HAVE A 2003 TRIUMPH BONNEVILLE T100. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS PURCHASED IN FEBRUARY 2004 AND HAD APPROXIMATELY 7000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF THE PROBLEM. ON A TRIP FROM PITTSBURGH PA TO DUMFRIES, VA, SPOKES ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE REAR WHEEL FAILED. THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT AS A RESULT OF THE FAILURE. UPON FINDING THE FAILED SPOKES, I CONTACTED THE NEAREST TRIUMPH DEALER. THEY OFFERED TO REPLACE THE BROKEN SPOKES UNDER WARRANTEE, BUT WOULD NOT COMPLETELY RE-LACE THE WHEEL. THEY CAUTIONED BE TO EXPECT MORE FAILURES IN THE FUTURE, BUT SAID THAT TRIUMPH HAD A POLICY OF NOT RE-LACING WHEELS, ONLY REPLACING A PATTERN OF SPOKES AROUND THE FAILED ONES.*AK

Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
