What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2007 Ural Tourist, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

A WEEK AGO (4/5/08) WHILE RIDING MY RURAL MOTORCYCLE ( 2007 TOURIST), I HEARD A LOUD CLICK, CLICK, KLUNK!!! AND THEN THE REAR WHEEL MOMENTARILY FROZE WITH SOME GRINDING AND SCRAPING NOISES. CLICK CLICK KLUNK NOISE SEEMED TO HAVE EMITTED FROM THE CENTER OF THE MOTOR CYCLE AROUND THE MAIN TRANSMISSION AREA. I STOPPED THE MOTORCYCLE AND COULD DETERMINE NO DAMAGE UPON A SIMPLE VISUAL INSPECTION. I TESTED RIDING AND THE BIKE RESUMED WITH OUT PROBLEM. THEN LAST NIGHT , (04/13/08)THE SAME INCIDENT HAPPENED, CLICK, CLICK, KLUNK AND REAR WHEEL FREEZE MOMENTARILY. AGAIN I STOPPED NO VISUAL DAMAGE NOTED AND THE MOTORCYCLE RESUMED WITHOUT PROBLEM. I IMMEDIATELY PROCEEDED HOME, AND AT ONE POINT THE REAR WHEEL MOMENTARILY LOCKED WHEN PROCEEDING TO GO IN FIRST GEAR AFTER BEING STOPPED AT A STOP LIGHT. DOES THIS APPEAR TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE TRANSMISSION RECALL , CAMPAIGN RECALL NUMBER 07V372000? I PURCHASED THE MOTORCYCLE IN NOVEMBER 2007 AND CURRENT HAVE APPROXIMATELY 8300 KILOMETERS OF MILEAGE ON THE MOTORCYCLE. *TR
Too few reports in this category for a page of its own — they appear in the full complaint list.
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
