1992 Utility Trailer Problems
Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component
Data refreshed
What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1992 Utility Trailer, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.
Reports by component
Ranked by how many owner reports name each component category
- Brakes342.9%
- Other / unspecified228.6%
- Airbags114.3%
- Tires & wheels114.3%
Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

I HAVE 2 BLUESTAR TIRES THAT I WAS TOLD ARE NOT PART OF THE RECALL. THE PLACE I BOUGHT THE TIRES FROM IS VERY ADAMANT SAYING THESE TIRES ARE NOT PART OF THE RECALL. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH A 2 WHEEL TRAILER WHICH THE TIRES ARE MOUNTED ON. I HEARD A LOUD POP SOUND AND I STOPPED TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENED. AT FIRST I COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. BUT THEN I NOTICED 2 BULGES ON THE SIDEWALL OF ONE OF THE TIRES. I WAS PULLING IT WITH OUR TRACTOR AND ONLY GOING ABOUT 10 MPH. SOMETIMES I PULL THIS TRAILER WITH OUR PICKUP, WHICH COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT, BECAUSE OF THE FASTER TRAVEL SPEEDS. THE TIRE DIDN'T COMPLETELY BLOW OUT, IT JUST POPPED VERY LOUD CAUSING THESE SIDEWALL BLISTERS. I WAS TOLD THESE TIRES ARE NOT PART OF THE RECALL, BUT THEY DEFINITELY SHOULD BE. THESE DEFECTIVE TIRES OBVIOUSLY TAKE IN A LARGER GROUP OF TIRES THAN THE COMPANY WANTS TO ACCOUNTABLE FOR. SOMEONE WILL GET HURT. *TR
