PARKING BRAKE; VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Jun 5, 2017
37 units potentially affected
The defect: Vactor Manufacturing (Vactor) is recalling certain 2015-2017 Vactor Jetter vehicles. In certain conditions, the idle may unexpected rise, allowing the affected vehicles to over power the parking brake.
The risk: If the parking brake cannot keep the vehicle stationary, there would be an increased risk of a crash.
The remedy: Vactor has notified the affected owners, and dealers will install diodes to keep the idle from rising, free of charge. The recall began on May 30, 2017. Owners may contact Vactor customer service at 1-847-622-7069.
