Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

[XXX] the motorcycle accelerated on its own and then stalled out in the middle of the street. [XXX] the next time the dealership was open was May 14, 2024 the vehicle was returned to House of Kawasaki (HOK)_May 15, 2024 HOK told me to pick up my bike that they could not find any issues. On [XXX], I went to pick up the bike and when Kevin the service person pulled it to the front it stalled on him. He scanned the bike codes and the bike had no codes showing error so he provided me the bike and stated it was safe to drive. I drove down the street approx 1 mile to the gas station, as I was filling up the tank. Gas starting going on the grown. The gas gauge did not work properly, it went from a full tank to a quarter of a tank immediately. I went to leave the gas station and the bike accelerated into traffic without me pressing it and then stalled again. I started and immediately returned it to the dealership. Wayne the owner got into the bike with me and drove it around the block. The bike accelerated on him as well and then stalled as well. We returned the dealership. The dealership provided a loner for the weekend. When I returned the loaner and inquired about my bike. I recorded the conversation as he stated he stated he had no idea what was wrong with the bike and he has never seen it do that before. On May 23, I sent mulitple leaders to the HOK and also Vanderhall certified inquiry on a resolution. I spoke with someone from the corporate office in July and she said she would contact the dealership. I had an attorney reach out to them for a resolution and then he was not able to handle the case. August I was told my bike was ready for pick up and it was fixed. I picked up my bike from HOK approx August 9, 2024 on August 19, 2024 I contacted Ricardo at HOK and told him the bike _ Please read attached complaint and I can submit more documents. Not enough space in this area to send complete complaint but I reported to New Vehicle Dealer Commission INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT
