What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2019 Vanleigh Beacon, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

Body & structure
Reports naming the vehicle structure, frame, body panels, doors, hood and trim.
From owner reports, verbatim
My Vanliegh Beacon 39GBB Fram broke near the 5th wheel hitch causing large body undulations while towing. The frame cracked along a longitudinal beam along to forward section connecting the main body and the over the bed area. This caused major fiberglass damage and an unsafe situation where only one side of the frame was still connected to the 5th wheel hitch. I witnessed the Lippert frame manufacturer's rep review the damage and he engineered a "fix" to be done at the Vanliegh repair facility in Tischamingo, MS in 2021. The next road trip, the frame broke again and I was told I was out of warranty. My $140,000 5th wheel is not road worthy and the manufacturer will not stand behind the product.

THE SPRING HANGERS ON VANLEIGH RVS WHOSE FRAME IS MANUFACTURED BY LIPPERT COMPONENTS BREAK DURING NORMAL USE. PLEASE FIND THE ENCLOSED PICTURES. THIS IS A LIPPERT ISSUE IN MY OPINION BUT THE UNIT AS MENTIONED IS MADE BY VANLEIGH RV. MY RV SUFFERED THIS ISSUE AND UPON A QUERY TO SEVERAL OTHER VANLEIGH RV OWNERS ITS A COMMON THEME. A QUICK REVIEW OF OTHER RV FORUMS FINDS THE SAME ISSUE AND THE FIX IS TO "BEEF UP" THE AFFECTED AREA. INFACT I WAS TOLD LIPPERT TECHS KNOW OF THIS ISSUE AND HAVE A PICTURE OF A "BEEFED UP" HANGER. I SPOKE WITH A CUSTOMER SERVICE REP AT VANLEIGH AND WAS TOLD THIS WAS A KNOWN ISSUE. IM HAPPY TO PROVIDE MORE PICTURES IF NEEDED AND PROVIDE WEBLINKS TO OTHER CUSTOMERS WITH THIS SAME LIPPERT FRAME ISSUE.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
