What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2000 Victory V92C Special Edition, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

POWER TRAIN IS NOISY AND DOES NOT CATCH THIRD GEAR, GOES BACK TO SECOND GEAR WHEN YOU ATTEMPT TO GO TO THIRD GEAR CAUSING BIKE TO JERK FORWARD VIOLENTLY, REALLY TENSE AND SCARY MOMENT. *TR
MY VICTORY V92C WITH 12000 MILES ON IT WILL SLIP OUT OF 3RD GEAR. ALSO HAS A HARD TIME FINDING NEUTRAL AND SOMETIMES SLIPS INTO NEUTRAL WHILE SHIFTING. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS NOW AND I WOULD ESTIMATE HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 50 TIMES. IT HAS GOTTEN TO THE POINT NOW THAT I JUST SKIP 3RD GEAR AND GO TO 4TH. *JB
Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers.
