2003 Victory V92SC Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

I HAVE A 2000 VICTORY V92SC. ON MANY OCCASIONS MY TRANSMISSION HAS DOWN SHIFTED ON ITS OWN FROM 3RD TO 2ND, 4TH TO 3RD, AND GRINDING HARD EACH TIME IT HAPPENS. I HAVE TALKED TO TWO DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. BOTH HAVE TOLD ME THAT THIS IS NORMAL FOR THESE BIKES('99-2000 VICTORY'S), AND BOTH HAVE DONE NUMEROUS TRANNY REPLACEMENTS EACH. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM, DUE TO THE FACT THAT I HAVE ALMOST BEEN REAR ENDED A FEW TIMES DUE TO THE TRANNY SLIPPING OUT OF GEAR IN TRAFFIC, AND THE SHIFTER STICKING WHILE TRYING TO GO THROUGH THE GEARS.*AK
