The defect: FRONT DRIVESHAFT FLANGE BOLTS MAY LOOSEN.
The risk: THIS CAN RESULT IN SEPARATION OF THE DRIVESHAFT FROM THETRANSMISSION AND DAMAGE TO THE GEAR SELECTOR.
The remedy: REPLACE THE DRIVESHAFT FLANGE BOLTS AND NUTS; MODIFY THE JOINT BETWEEN THE DRIVESHAFT AND TRANSMISSION.

WHILE PARKED WAITING FOR A FRIEND THE DASHBOARD STARTED SMOKING AND THEN BURSTED IN TO FLAMES,NO ONE WAS INJURED. THE INSIDE OF THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS. CONSUMER HAS YET TO CONTACT THE DEALER. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
