If the ESC warning appears in the DIM and/or pure electric drive mode is disabled in combination with DTC BCM2-U029600, follow the instructions under “Service". Third-party devices can be connected: Directly to the DLC Via a Y-splitter harness that is used as an extension of the regular DLC port while the regular DLC port itself may be unoccupied.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
This is a Technical Journal: DIM Message and DTC BECM P0C7800. If the DIM displays a message stating "Drive System Service Required" and the DTC listed below is set, follow the advice under "Service". •Do not replace any parts. This is not hardware-related. •A new Battery Energy Control Module software is released in software version 5.1.9. Perform a Total Upgrade according to TJ 31543 and release the car back to the customer.
