Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

Safety recallsA safety recall is issued when a manufacturer or NHTSA determines that a vehicle has a safety-related defect or does not comply with a federal motor vehicle safety standard. Recall repairs are free. Whether a specific vehicle is covered depends on its VIN — a recall listed for a model year does not necessarily apply to every vehicle of that year.
0
InvestigationsNHTSA opens an investigation to examine whether a safety defect may exist. An open investigation is not a determination that a defect exists, and many investigations close without a recall. Investigations can, however, lead to one.
0
Crash or fire reportedComplaints whose submitter recorded that a crash or a fire occurred. These are the reporter's own answers on the NHTSA form, not verified findings.

  • Tires & wheels1100.0%

Percentages are of component mentions. A single complaint can name more than one component, so these do not sum to the total complaint count.

No recalls in our database for this model year

That does not guarantee a specific vehicle is unaffected — recalls are issued against VINs, and new campaigns are announced regularly. Check a VIN on NHTSA.gov.

THE PROBLEM OCCURRED ON AN 8X18 ENCLOSED WELLS CARGO MOTORCYCLE TRAILER. I LEFT FREDERICK, MD ON THE MORNING OF 7/29/06 HEADING TO MYRTLE BEACH, SC . WHEN I GOT INTO VA. [APPROX 45 MILES FROM FREDERICK] THE RF TRAILER TIRE BLEW. I PULLED INTO A SHOPPING CENTER PARKING LOT TO CHANGE IT AND NOTICED THAT THE RR TIRE WAS DEVELOPING A BULGE IN THE FIRST TREAD FROM THE OUTSIDE. I CHECKED THE OTHER TIRES AND THEY WERE OK. I REPLACED THESE 2 AND ARRIVED AT MYRTLE BEACH WITH NO FURTHER TIRE PROBLEMS. BECAUSE OF WHAT HAD HAPPENED GOING DOWN ,ON THE WAY BACK HOME ON 8/5/2006 ANY TIME I STOPPED I WOULD INSPECT THE TIRES. WHEN I STOPPED IN WILSON, NC I NOTICED THAT THE LR WAS DEVELOPING THE SAME BULGE IN THE TREAD AS THE OTHER TIRE WHICH DID NOT BLOW. I KEPT AN I ON THE TIRE AND SO DID MY DAUGHTER WHO WAS FOLLOWING BEHIND ME AND MADE IT BACK HOME TO FREDERICK WITHOUT IT BLOWING. THE TIRES ARE ST20575R15 GOODYEAR TRAILER TIRES. THE TIRES HAVE BEEN KEPT PROPERLY INFLATED TO 50 PSI BEFORE ANY USE. THERE IS A VERY SLOW LEAK IN THE LF TIRE BUT THIS IS NOT THE ONE THAT HAS DEVELOPED A PROBLEM YET. THE MOST WEIGHT THIS TRAILER HAS HAD IN IT IS 4 HARLEY'S WEIGHING APPROX 700 - 800 LBS EACH. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST TIME I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THIS SAME SIZE AND MAKE TIRE. I HAVE ANOTHER TRAILER WHERE THE TIRE BLEW BECAUSE THE BELT SEPERATED AND IT WAS PARKED. *JB

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
