What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1999 Winnebago Brave, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WIFE, DONNA WAS DRIVING. TWO CONSECUTIVE LIT STOPSIGNALS/ BRAKES FAILED WHEN SHE "STOOD" ON THE BRAKE. FIRST SIGNAL NOT TOO SERIOUS, BUT SECOND SIGNAL MOTORHOME WAS TOTALED OUT. ALL BRAKES SEEMED TO TEST OUT OK EXCEPT AT THE TWO CONSECUTIVE SIGNALS. THIS IS A BRAKING PROBLEM AND MOST LIKELY A COMBINATION WITH ABS. WE KNOW THIS IS SOMEWHAT COMMON BECAUSE OTHERS HAVE TOLD OF THEIR EXPERIENCES, EXCEPT NOT SO SERIOUS. WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE SOME ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON THIS TYPE OF VEHICLE BRAKING PROBLEM. THANK YOU ALAN AND DONNA
