TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1999 WINNEBAGO MINNIE MOTORHOME WITH FIRESTONE TIRE PROBLEMS LT22575R16E. . WHILE DRIVING 61 MPH, THE REAR INNER TIRE FAILED AND SHREDDED, CAUSING THE PROPANE GAS LINE TO FAIL AS WELL. TEN DAYS LATER, WHILE AGAIN DRIVING 61 MPH, THE DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE FAILED. WEATHER WAS NOT A FACTOR. A TIRE SERVICE STATION MECHANIC STATED THAT ALL OF THE TIRES WERE OVER ELEVEN YEARS OLD AND SHOULD HAVE BEEN REPLACED YEARS AGO. THE MECHANIC ALSO STATED THAT THE OTHER TIRES WOULD FAIL SOON. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 19,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,000. UPDATED 04/08/08. *LJ THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE TIRES WERE 11 YEARS OLD AND HAD BEEN RECALLED. THE CONSUMER STATED SHE HAD NO IDEA THE TIRES WERE THAT OLD.
