The defect: Xos, Inc (Xos) is recalling certain 2021-2022 SV05 and 2021 SA01 vehicles. The bolts and brackets connecting the hardware to the electronic parking brake system may come loose, causing the parking brake to fail.
The risk: Electronic parking brake failure can result in a rollaway if the vehicle is not in park with the manual park brake engaged, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the affected hardware and update the vehicle software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 8, 2024. Owners may contact Xos customer service at 1-818-316-1890. Xos's number for this recall is REC 003-23.

The defect: Xos, Inc. (Xos) is recalling certain 2021 RM01, SA01, and 2021-2022 SV05 vehicles. The bolts connecting the electronic parking brake rotor to the driveshaft may have been improperly tightened.
The risk: Loose bolts may allow the driveshaft to separate, causing a loss of drive power and increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the bolts and related hardware, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 19, 2023. Owners may contact Xos customer service at 1-818-316-1890. Xos's number for this recall is REC 002-23.

The defect: Xos, Inc. (Xos) is recalling certain 2021 RM01, SA01 and 2021-2022 SV05 vehicles. The brake lines may be the incorrect length and incorrectly routed, which can result in a brake fluid leak.
The risk: A brake fluid leak can lead to an increase in stopping distance, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Dealers will replace the brake lines, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on January 20, 2023. Owners can contact Xos' customer service at 855-909-4407.

In the event that the Xos stepvan produces a repeatable, loud growling noise during driving, coasting or braking from the driveline, please follow this instruction to replace the motor mounts and center the electronic parking brake (“EPB”) rotor.
