EIGHT MONTHS AGO CONSUMER RECEIVED NHTSA RECALL 03V309000 REGARDING THE SECOND/THIRD PINION GEAR MAYBE INCORRECTLY MACHINED, WHICH COULD CAUSE ABNORMAL WEAR THAT EVENTUALLY RESULTS IN A BROKEN RETAINER. DEALERSHIP STILL DOES NOT HAVE THE PARTS AVAILABLE TO CONDUCT RECALL REPAIRS. *AK
THE PARTS TO PERFORM THE TRANSMISSION RECALL 03V309000 REPAIRS HAD NOT BEEN AVAILABLE TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR 4 MONTHS. THE DEALERSHIP INDICATED IT MAY BE ANOTHER 6 WEEKS BEFORE THEY RECEIVE PARTS. *AK *SC *JB
CONSUMER RECEIVED RECALL 03V309000 CONCERNING TRANSMISSION FAILURE. CONSUMER CONTACTED THE DEALER IN THE BEGINNING OF JANUARY. DEALER DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS AND DID NOT KNOW WHEN THE PARTS WOULD BE AVAILABLE. *AK *JB
RECALL 03V309000 CONCERNING REAR WHEEL LOCK UP. CONSUMER RECEIVED THE RECALL FOR THE MOTORCYCLE ON 1/26/2004 AND CONTACTED THE DEALER FOR AN APPOINTMENT. DEALER INFORMED THE CONSUMER THAT PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE , AND WON'T RECEIVE THE PARTS FOR ANOTHER EIGHT WEEKS.*AK
THE C-CLIP INSIDE TRANSMISSION WAS IMPROPERLY INSTALLED AND IT BROKE, WHICH SHEARED THE FOURTH GEAR. *AK
