The defect: Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2023-2025 Digger Derrick vehicles. The vertical center of gravity with poles in the pole rack was not calculated properly, resulting in an incorrect pole rack capacity rating.
The risk: While using the pole rack at full capacity, an incorrect high vertical center of gravity during braking and cornering may lead to a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

The risk: An engine that starts unexpectedly increases the risk of injury to anyone near the engine compartment during maintenance operations.
The remedy: Altec will provide instructions to inspect the power distribution module for a diode, and provide a repair kit as necessary, free of charge. The risk: A cable step that fails during use increases the risk of injury.
The remedy: Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the cable crimps. If the cables are improperly crimped, Altec will provide instructions and a kit to replace the wire rope assemblies. Repairs will be performed free of charge. The risk: Without a circuit breaker, the AC circuit may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

If moisture is found or the light is inoperative, a light replacement kit will be installed. Repairs will be performed free of charge. The remedy: Altec will provide instructions to owners to test the boom lift pressure limiter setting and set it to the correct pressure, free of charge.
