STEERING; SUSPENSION
Complaint: Sway bar design (angles) incorrect near sway bar link bolts. Cause: Design. Correction: Redesigned sway bar by changing angles and length of sway bar. Including new, stronger sway bar link assemblies with bar. The sway bar/links are now engineered together with the correct working angles. Step 1- Raise and support vehicle suitably with suspension and wheels in normal driving position. Step 2- Remove sway bar to frame bolts, nuts, clamps and bushings from bar and save for reinstallation. Step 3- Remove sway bar links from bar. Discard sway bar and links. Step 4- Install new sway bar links (2010847) onto new sway bar (2010657) and attach to lower control arms. Assemble both sides loosely at this time. Step 5- Sway bar is not symmetrical. Orient sway bar so ends bend down towards the sway bar link. Shown below. Step 6- Install sway bar bushings and clamps onto new bar and bolt into place. Torque frame bolts and nuts to spec. See below. Step 7- Torque sway bar link bolts to 15 ft lbs.

SUSPENSION
AR861-Upper Shock/Track Bar Mount Inspection and Repair. Complaint-Upper plates previously installed in AR839 are cracking and pulling away from frame. Cause-Insuffiecient/bad welds not holding under loads. Correction-Inspect/correct welds including drilling 1/8" stop holes into frame at the end of cracks and weld per procedure. Vehicles Affected-All Spirit of Mobility (SOM) units with Reyco Granning rear suspension where AR839 has already been completed.
