2016 Audi Tt Roadster Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHTS: ERROR POPPED UP FOR ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHTS WHEN STARTING CAR. ERROR WENT AWAY THE NEXT TIME THE CAR WAS STARTED. PREVIOUSLY HAD SOFTWARE UPDATED FOR SIDE MARKER RECALL IN DECEMBER 2016. TOOK CAR TO AUDI DEALERSHIP (JULY 13, 2017) AND THEY SAID THERE WAS A SECOND RECALL, AND PROCEEDED TO UPDATE THE SOFTWARE FOR THE HEADLIGHTS. I HAVE NOT SEEN A RECALL ISSUED FOR THIS PROBLEM / SOFTWARE UPDATE.

TAKATA RECALL - DRIVER SEAT: THE PLASTIC HOUSING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT, NEAR THE HEADREST, HAVE POPPED OPEN AND PULLED AWAY FROM THE SEAT. THE IS THE AREA WHERE THE SIDE AIRBAGS ARE STORED AND DEPLOY FROM DURING A COLLISION. PASSENGER SEAT: THE PLASTIC HOUSING HAS POPPED/PULLED AWAY ON THE PASSENGER SEAT, NEAR THE HEADREST. THIS IS WHERE THE SIDE AIRBAGS ARE STORED. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, PARKED IN A GARAGE OVERNIGHT. CLEAR WEATHER AND ABOUT 70-75 DEGREES THE DAY BEFORE, IN THE 50 DEGREE RANGE AT NIGHT. DISCOVERED THE ANOMALY WITH THE DRIVER'S SIDE THE NEXT MORNING WHEN GETTING INTO THE CAR (JULY 9, 2017). DISCOVERED THE ANOMALY WITH THE PASSENGER SIDE A FEW DAYS LATER (JULY 13, 2017). I HAVE CONTACTED A NEARBY AUDI DEALERSHIP.
