The defect: WHEELS MAY HAVE BEEN FITTED TO THE TRUCK HUBS WITHOUT THE REQUIRED ADAPTOR PLATES CAUSING THE WHEEL TO REMAIN LOOSE ON THE HUB. CONSEQUENCE OF DEFECT: A LOOSE WHEEL COULD CAUSE VIBRATION AND DAMAGE TO THE WHEEL AND COULD RESULT IN THE WHEEL SEPARATING FROM THE VEHICLE WHICH MAY LEAD TO AN ACCIDENT.
The remedy: INSTALL ADAPTORS AND PROPERLY TORQUE WHEEL ATTACHMENTS. IF NECESSARY, REPLACE WHEEL.

CERTAIN RENTAL COMPANIES ARE RENTING VANS WITHOUT PROPERLY NOTIFYING THE CUSTOMER THAT THEY REQUIRE DIESEL FUEL. THIS CAN RESULT (AND HAS RESULTED IN MY CASE) IN FILLING UP WITH GAS, AND SUDDENLY LOSING LOCOMOTION ON A BUSY HIGHWAY, CAUSING HAZARDS TO ALL IN THE AREA. THERE SHOULD BE A REQUIREMENT THAT THE DRIVER BE PROPERLY NOTIFIED OF THE NEED FOR DIESEL FUEL. PLEASE DO NOT REFER ME TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, SINCE THEY CANNOT REQUIRE RENTAL COMPANIES IN GENERAL TO DO CERTAIN THINGS.
