CHEST STRAP BROKE WHEN BUCKLING CHILD. HAS NEVER BEEN IN ACCIDENT NOR SUSTAINED DAMAGE. CONTACTED MANUFACTURER AND THEY ARE SENDING A REPLACEMENT.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE STRAPPING THE CHILD OCCUPANT IN THE SAFETY SEAT, THE CHEST CLIP BUCKLE FRACTURED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE SAFETY SEAT WAS NOT REPLACED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHEST STRAP AND BUCKLE FRACTURED PREVENTING HER FROM SECURING THE BABY PROPERLY. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THE FAILURE HAD OCCURRED TWICE AND THE MANUFACTURER HAD PROVIDED REPLACEMENTS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CHILD SEAT WAS NOT REPLACED.

CPSC: I1390091A. BABY TREND INERTIA. CONSUMER STATED WHEN SHE TRIED TO INSTALL THE SEAT THE HANDLE WAS FROZEN AND THE SEAT COULD NOT BE ADJUSTED. *LN THE MANUFACTURER SENT THE CONSUMER ANOTHER CAR SEAT. AFTER USING IT FOR FOUR WEEKS, THE INSERT, THAT CONNECTED TO THE CHEST CLIP BROKE.
