What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2007 Bigdog K-9, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

I HAVE AN AVON COBRA 250/40/18 TIRE MOUNTED ON MY 2007 BIG DOG CHOPPER WITH APPROXIMATELY 2000 MILES ON IT AND IT HAS ALMOST SPLIT FROM ON SIDE TO THE OTHER. *TR
I OWN A 2007 BIG DOG K9 THAT ORIGINALLY CAME WITH AN AVON VENOM 300/35R18 ON THE REAR. AVON HAS DISCONTINUED MAKING THE VENOM AND REPLACED IT WITH THE COBRA. I REPLACED MY VENOM IN JUNE OF 2010 WITH THE NEW COBRA. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 1200 MILES, I FOUND THAT THE TIRE WAS STARTING TO SEPARATE ON EACH SIDE AT A SPLICE JOINT. I CALLED THE PEOPLE I BOUGHT THE TIRE FROM AND THEY PROMPTLY GOT ME A REPLACEMENT TIRE. MY ORIGINAL COBRA HAD A DATE CODE OF 4009. MY NEW COBRA HAS A DATE CODE OF 1111. *TT
