2018 BMW K1600GTL. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO IGNITION COIL FAILURE. *LD THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE REQUIRED 4 COIL SPRINGS TO BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY DURING A 14,000 MILE SPAN. *JS
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 BMW K 1600 GTL MOTORCYCLE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A LOUD KNOCKING SOUND. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO EUROTEK-OKC BMW, DUCATI, & TRIUMPH MOTORCYCLES (417 HUDIBURG CIR C, OKLAHOMA CITY, OK 73108) WHERE THE DEALER STATED THAT THE NOISE WAS NORMAL AND ORIGINATED FROM EITHER THE GEAR BOX OR THE TRANSMISSION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THERE WAS NO FAILURE WITH THE MOTORCYCLE. THE MOTORCYCLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 77.
