2015 BMW S 1000 R Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

THE ENGINE STOPS RUNNING WHILE COMING TO A STOP, WHILE STOPPED OR WHEN TAKING OFF. ALWAYS IN FIRST GEAR WITH THE CLUTCH DISENGAGED OR WHILE ENGAGING TO TAKE OFF. THE ENGINE USUALLY RESTARTS IMMEDIATELY BUT NOT ALWAYS. A FEW TIMES I'VE HAD TO TURN THE IGNITION KEY OFF FOR A FEW SECONDS AND BACK ON TO GET THE BIKE TO RESTART. INTERMITTENT PROBLEM. *TR
