Carbon rim is leaking in the valve stem area. Due to breaking of the rim during mold separation andcracks in the clear coat. BMW Motorrad has extensively tested this complaint and have found that heavy, improper use cancreate leaks and cracks in general. For example, pressing/hitting the valve with the blade of the tirechanger machine. Microscope images of the test rims show identical failure as the rims that were returned requestedfor analysis. The resuLTs are that these rims were damaged by misuse not a defect in material and workmanship.
