The defect: Bollinger Motors, Inc. (Bollinger Motors) is recalling certain 2025 B4 trucks. The high voltage battery pack may be improperly sealed and allow liquid to enter the battery.
The risk: Liquid intrusion into a battery pack can cause a loss of electrical isolation or short circuit, increasing the risk of a fire or shock hazard. In addition, the detection of a battery fault can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.
The remedy: Bollinger Motors will work with Our Next Energy to inspect and repair the battery packs as necessary, free of charge. Owners can contact Bolling Motors at 586-785-7351.

Service action for removing CAN Bus resistors, cleaning & preventing DC to DC converter 12-volt cable corrosion, improving the location and visibility of the First Responders Cut Loop Labels, and improving the Motor Control Unit (MCU) high voltage cable dual clamp cable-ties locations.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN

The updated VCU software includes enhancements for 12V and high-voltage battery conditioning, as well as resolving issues with incorrectly stored faults. The revised TCU software enhances the thermal management system and eliminates erroneously stored faults. The updated OTA software enables TCU and BMS diagnostics to be reported over the air. Additionally, the improved BMS software enhances fault detection and decreases the overall time required for cell balancing.

POWER TRAIN

Bulletin Title: Update the Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), Thermal Control Unit (TCU), and Telematics Module Unit (TMU) software to the latest version. Symptom: The existing VCU and TCU software may cause various fault codes to be stored in the vehicle's fault memory. The TMU does not currently support WiFi connection capability. Discussion: If equipped, the updated VCU software adds ePTO enhancements, improvements to 12V and high-voltage battery conditioning, and eliminates erroneously stored faults. The TCU software improves the thermal management system and eliminates erroneously stored faults. The TMU software adds WiFi connection capability to the vehicle.
