TRAVELING ON RTE 495 AND EXPERIENCED TWO VERY SHORT EPISODES WHERE POWER WAS LOST THEN QUICKLY ( 1-2 SECONDS) RESTORED. DURING DECELERATION WHEN THE THROTTLE WAS RELEASED BACK TO NEUTRAL THE ENGINE STALLED. SUCCESSFUL RESTARTS COULD ONLY BE MAINTAINED WITH SIGNIFICANT TURNING OF THE THROTTLE. SHORTLY AFTER THE THROTTLE "FROZE" AND COULD NOT BE MOVED EITHER WAY. HAD THIS HAPPENED IN HEAVY TRAFFIC OR WHILE CORNERING IT MAY HAVE VERY WELL RESULTED IN A CRASH AND INJURY OR DEATH. *TR

They are not recalls: repairs described in a bulletin are usually only free if the vehicle is still under warranty or the manufacturer has extended coverage.

Higher-selling and older vehicles accumulate more reports. Counts are not failure rates and are not directly comparable between vehicles that sold in very different numbers. Older model years have had longer for reports to accumulate.
