1991 Cadillac Brougham Problems

Owner-reported complaints filed with NHTSA, grouped by component

Data refreshed

Owner complaintsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

What this page shows

Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1991 Cadillac Brougham, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.

Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD ( ABOUT 40 MPH ) I HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE THE MUFFLER FALLING OFF THE CAR WITH A BANG AND THE CAR MOVING ODDLY AND HEARING A METAL NOISE. I FOUND IT TO BE THE VERY REAR CROSSMENBER ( THE ONE BEFORE THE REAR BUMPER ) HAD FALLEN OFF. I HAVE DONE WELDING FOR OVER THIRTY YEARS THIS WAS NOT WELDED PROPERLY. THE CAR HAS BEEN IN A GARAGE FROM DAY ONE AND MY MOM IS THE ONLY OWNER. THE PAINT AND UNDERCARRIAGE IS LIKE NEW! ( NO RUST AND ALL MAINTENACE HAS BEEN DONE ) IF SOMEONE ELSE HAD BEEN DRIVING THEY MAY HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR! I DID CALL LLOYDS IN DAYTONA BEACH FL ( WHERE SHE BOUGH THE CAR BUT THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME MORE TOO LOOK AT IT THEN IT COST ME TOO FIX IT ! I FEEL THIS IS A PROBLEM YOU NEED TOO LOOK AT!
