1994 Cadillac Deville Electrical Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the electrical system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Electrical reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

VEHICLE WOULD NOT START AGAIN AFTER IT HAD JUST BEEN RUNNING. DEALERSHIP REPLACED FUEL PUMP AND WOULD NOT GIVE REASON FOR CAUSE OF DEFECT. IT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. IN 1998, CONSUMER'S DAUGHTER WAS STRANDED WHEN THE SAME DEFECT OCCURRED WITH FUEL PUMP. THERE WERE APPROXIMATELY 45,000-48,000 MILES ON VEHICLE, AND WAS NOT COVERED UNDER A WARRANTY. IN DECEMBER 2000, FUEL PUMP STOPPED WORKING FOR A THIRD TIME. CONSUMER FELTTHAT THIS COULD BE A COMPUTER RELATED DEFECT. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/ATTACHMENTS.*AK
