1982 Chevrolet C10 Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

EXPERIENCED BLOWOUT AT SPEED OF APPROX 70 MPH ON I-75 NORTH OF MACON GEORGIA. VIBRATION NOTED PRIOR TO BLOWOUT BUT I ATTRIBUTED THAT SYMPTOM TO THE ROAD SURFACE AND NOT THE TIRE. TIRE TREAD SEPARATED CAUSING DAMAGE TO VEHICLE UNDERBODY AS TIRE REMANENTS STRUCK VEHICLE FORWARD AND TO THE REAR OF THE REAR AXLE. TIRE IS AVAILABLE FOR ANALYSIS IF NECESSARY.*AK (DOT NUMBER: VDAT JAB TIRESIZE: P255 60R15)
