What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 1996 Chevrolet G20, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

VAN IS VERY HARD TO CONTROL. IT WHIPS FROM SIDE TO SIDE EVEN ON SMOOTH ROADS. WHEN ON ROUGH ROAD THE FRONT END SHAKES VIOLENTLY AND SOUND LIKE THE FRONT END IS FALLING OUT. VAN HAS BEEN TAKEN TO ATZENHOFFER CHEVROLET IN VICTORIA, TX SEVERAL TIMES. OUTCOME IS ALWAYS THE SAME. "THAT IS THE WAY IT IS AND THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT." THANKFULLY WE HAVE HAD NO ACCIDENTS AS A RESULT OF THESE PROBLEMS. WE DESPERATELY WANT THESE PROBLEMS FIXED BEFORE SOMETHING BAD DOES HAPPEN. CHEVROLET DOESNT SEEM TO KNOW HOW TO FIX IT, MAYBE YOU CAN HELP SOLVE THE PROBLEM. *AK
