1995 Chevrolet Lumina Apv Brakes Problems

Owner-reported complaints naming the brake system, filed with NHTSA

Data refreshed

Brakes reportsComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

I AM REPORTING THIS TO LET YOU KNOW THAT ATTEMPTS TO GET INFORMATION FROM GM OR ITS LOCAL DEALERS HAS FALLEN UPON DEAF EARS! THE COMPANY LINE IF YOU IN THE RECALL, YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED IN WRITING! IF MY CAR CRASHES TODAY, THAT WON'T DO ME MUCH GOOD. THE ABS BRAKES ON THIS VAN HAVE NEVER WORKED PROPERLY. STOPPING DISTANCES ARE VERY LONG! I HAVE ALWAYS SUSPECTED BUT HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TOLD THE BRAKES ARE FINE. I WAS TOLD THE SAME TODAY. I AM GOING BACK TO THE DEALER TOMORROW AND THEY CLAIM, I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS REPAIR, SINCE I DON'T HAVE A NOTICE OF RECALL. MY LIFE, MY FAMILY'S LIVES ARE WORTH THAT TO ME. UNFORTUNATELY, I CAN'T BUY A NEW CAR! THANK YOU FOR YOUR RECENT E-MAIL. WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY FRUSTRATION. YOUR VEHICLE MAY BE INVOLVED
