What this page shows
Everything below is an owner-reported complaint submitted to NHTSA about the 2000 Chevrolet Malibu Classic, grouped by the component NHTSA recorded on the report. These are not confirmed defects, and they are not recalls. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a category with more reports in it is not evidence that a part is defective.
Complaints are reports submitted by owners and drivers to NHTSA. They are not verified and do not establish that a defect exists.

WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE I ATTEMPTED TO PUT MY TURN SIGNAL ON TO MAKE A TURN. THE TURN SIGNAL DIDN'T WORK.SINCE THEN IT WOULD RANDOMLY WORK AT TIMES AND SOMETIMES IT DIDNT. SOMETIMES I WOULD HAVE TO PUSH ON THE HAZARD LIGHTS TO TRY TO TRIGGER THE TURN SIGNALS TO WORK. THERE WAS TIMES WHERE I WAS AFRAID OF GETTING REAR ENDED DUE TO THIS PROBLEM.I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO A CHEVY DEALER THIS YEAR (2014). IT WAS THE SAME PROBLEM RELATED TO THE RECALL BUT I WAS INFORMED MY VEHICLE WAS NOT PART OF THAT RECALL. I HAD TO PAY TO GET MY CAR FIXED. *TR
