2010 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Owner Complaints

Reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers, shown in full

Data refreshed

Complaints on fileComplaints are reports submitted to NHTSA by owners and drivers. NHTSA does not verify most reports before publishing them, and a complaint does not establish that a defect exists. Volume is influenced by how many of a vehicle were sold, how long it has been on the road, and how much attention an issue has received.

2001 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO. CONSUMER WRITES IN REGARDS TO GEAR SHIFT ISSUES AND VEHICLE ELECTRICAL OR COMPUTER MALFUNCTIONS. *SMD THE CONSUMER STATED IT WAS OFTEN HARD TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE FROM PARK TO REVERSE OR PARK TO DRIVE AS THE RELEASE PIN ON THE FLOOR SHIFT SOMETIMES REQUIRED EXTREME FORCE TO RELEASE THE SHIFT MECHANISM FROM PARK. ALSO, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. A DIAGNOSTIC TEST REVEALED THE OXYGEN SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED THE FRONT SEAT PASSENGER SUDDENLY BECAME TRAPPED IN THE VEHICLE. THERE WAS SOME TYPE OF ELECTRICAL OR COMPUTER MALFUNCTION, BECAUSE THE CONSUMER HADN'T LOCKED THE DOORS. THE HORN DID NOT ALWAYS RESPOND WHEN THE CONSUMER TIRED TO USE IT. *JB
